“Protect Wildlife” represents a central theme of O’BON and what we hope to achieve through our products.  At first thought, protecting wildlife seems a long way away from pencils and notebooks.  What does the type of school or office item we use have to do with the livelihoods of different animals that share our planet?  The connection lies in the following arguments:

-          Deforestation is a central cause of the dwindling natural habitats of many animals.  Forests around the world, home to a vast number of species of plants and animals, are quickly disappearing because of various types of industry, including the wood and paper industry.

-          This deforestation occurs because of a demand by consumers for certain types of products such as wood based products like paper and pencils.

-          By convincing consumers to switch from wood and paper based products to recycled and sustainably-based products, we will be able to minimize our negative effects on the environment.

“Protect Wildlife” is simply a reminder to our customers that, along with buying a product that is superior to the competition in both quality and design, you are also contributing to keeping our planet a beautiful and diverse place to live.
